Apple has approved the edition of Gaia GPS by maps of the Haitian earthquake just a few hours back it was submitted to the App Store. It’sitting intended to aid disaster relief for the Haitian earthquake.

According to Mashable, the American Red Cross confirmed that over $1 million has been raised through text word donations.

The Red Cross’s involvement in the relief effort is to be commended. Not solely did it immediately set up the simplest donation method possible, end its social media presence and outreach, when combined with the State Department’sitting involvement, has turned this into a viral funding initiative, topping Twitter trends and inspiring performing. The Red Cross is also contributing an initial $1 million from the International Response Fund.

Apple exercise volition have you believe that you need an iPhone to have the best smartphone upon the body the market. I had some play time with the Nexus One earlier today and have to say that while I wouldn’t call it a game changer, it’s definitely raising the bar for what you can chouse with your mobile phone.
